Summary
Description
Golden Eagle Audubon Society and National Audubon Society members are invited to come to beautiful Shoreline Group Campground at Warm Lake in the Boise National Forest east of Cascade for three days of birding and two nights in camp. The group site is accessible and can accomodate tents and a limited number of trailers or RVs. You can read more about the campground here.
We'll start with an afternoon walk at Warm Lake on June 24. We'll host a group dinner on June 24 with Golden Eagle Audubon providing soup and a dessert baked in a Dutch oven along with drinks. We'll heat up coals for grilling on June 26. Please bring food to share. After dinner, we'll have campfire programs. There will be plenty of mountain birds at the campsite to enjoy with your coffee each morning. We'll plan excursions in the Stolle Meadow/South Fork of the Salmon River area for June 25. It's a perfect place to find birds that nest in Idaho's high meadows. There will be lots of walking, but nothing too steep. There's fishing, canoeing, relaxing and stargazing too. More birding on June 26 before we pack up and head home.
Families and children of all ages are welcome.
Registration fee: $100 per adult, $25 for child 7-17, free for child 0-6. No discount if you only come for one night.
